Member Benefits

Besides the guaranteed benefits of working under a UFCW contract, listed below are some of the additional benefits of membership in UFCW District Local Two. Please check this page periodically for newly added benefits of membership.

Scholarships:

Jimmy Carter/Jerry Engle Scholarship Program:
Two scholarships with a total value of $1,000 each are awarded annually by UFCW District Local Two to a college bound student. New applications are available this fall.

UFCW Scholarship Program:
International UFCW awards scholarships on a yearly basis, also. For more information about these scholarships, see the International Union website.

Region 5 Scholarship Program:
Our UFCW regional office awards ten additional $1500.00 one-year scholarships. Your application is automatically forwarded to the region office when you apply for the UFCW Scholarship Program.

Union Plus Scholarships:
Additional scholarships are offered as one-time cash awards in amounts ranging from $500 to $4000 through Union Member Benefits.

Member-Only Discounts:

Union-Member Discounts:
Discounts are offered through Union Privilege. These discounts are negotiated by the AFL-CIO on behalf of all unions for their members.

UFCW Member Discounts:
These discounts are offered as a benefit of your membership in the UFCW.
